Go to scribe.skeptrune.com and sign in with your email address, or continue with Google or GitHub. On first sign-in, Scribe creates an organization (your workspace) for you.Create a note
1
Create a document
Click New note in the sidebar. Documents live in one of two sections:
- Workspace — visible to everyone in your organization.
- Private — visible only to you (and anyone you explicitly share with).
2
Write markdown
Just start typing. Markdown shortcuts convert as you write —
# becomes a heading, - a bullet list, - [ ] a task, **bold** bold text — while the syntax markers stay visible in muted text. See Markdown for the full model.3
Preview the result
Open the mode switcher at the top-right of the document and choose Viewing (or press Cmd+Alt+P) to see the clean rendered document without syntax markers. Switch back to Editing to keep writing. See Modes for the full Editing / Suggesting / Viewing model.
Invite a teammate
1
Send an invite
Open Settings → Members and invite a teammate by email. They join your organization when they accept.
2
Edit together
Open the same workspace document — you’ll each see the other’s cursor and selection live, labeled with their name. Edits merge automatically, with no locking and no “someone else is editing” banners.
3
Share a specific document
For finer control, documents support per-user shares (viewer, commenter, or editor) and public read-only links that work without an account. These are managed through the API today; a published link is viewable at
scribe.skeptrune.com/share/<token>.Basic editing
A few things to try first:On Windows and Linux, use Ctrl wherever Cmd appears.
